Search Engine Ranking

Natural ranking is a combination of strategies that permit a webpage to appear in the best position in the search results provided by the search engines. For the English-speaking market, when we talk about search engines, we're talking about “Google”.

A complex algorithm that is updated periodically is in charge of deciding the order in which the search results are displayed. The fact that this algorithm is secret and that its calculations include hundreds of parameters in analyzing each page makes ranking a process of investigation rather than an exact science. That is why getting your webpage into an optimal ranking is not a one-time job, but an ongoing process.

There are a multitude of valid ranking techniques, and there are also those that are prohibited by search engines. These techniques, called “black hat SEO”, may offer great results in the beginning, but when the search engines detect their use, they penalize the offending site with a much lower ranking. At Omonim we are conscious of the fact that these techniques must be avoided, and that's just what we do.

Since the influencing factors and measurements of ranking are unknown, it's important to keep in mind that nobody can guarantee that your webpage will appear in any certain position within the search results.
